1 Killed in Crash on Hwy 84 in Lubbock County

One Killed in Lubbock County Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 84

Lubbock County, Texas – One person was killed and several other people were injured on Christmas Day in a multi-vehicle crash in Lubbock County, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 6:20 p.m., December 25, on Highway 84 on top of the North Frankford overpass.

Deputies said multiple vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of the highway.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

Multiple people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The crash closed both westbound lanes of travel and one eastbound lane of the highway at North Frankford.

The crash remains under investigation.
