1 Killed in Hit-and-Run on Main Street in Grand Prairie

One Killed in Grand Prairie Pedestrian Accident on Main Street

Grand Prairie, Texas (January 18, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed Friday night in a hit-and-run accident in Grand Prairie, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 11:00 p.m., January 14, in the 2300 block of West Main Street.

Police said the female pedestrian was crossing the street in a crosswalk when she was struck by a westbound black vehicle that had failed to stop at a red light.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

Officers said the vehicle, possibly a passenger car, had damage to the front driver’s side of the car.
