1 Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Katy Freeway in Houston

One Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Katy Freeway (I-10)

Houston, Texas (February 10, 2022) – One person was killed Tuesday morning in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident occurred around 6:30 a.m., February 8, in the 11400 block of Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road.

Police said a white Dodge Journey was traveling westbound on the service road when it struck a pedestrian who entered the roadway outside a crosswalk.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

The Journey driver remained at the scene and was not intoxicated.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
