Three Hospitalized and One Missing After NW Harris County Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 2920 and Kickapoo Road

Harris County, Texas (August 3, 2020) – According to deputies, three people were hospitalized, and another person is missing following a two-vehicle crash Sunday night in northwest Harris County.

The crash happened at about 10:15 p.m., August 2, at the intersection of FM 2920 and Kickapoo Road.

Deputies said a Ford Expedition was traveling on FM 2920 while a Hyundai Sonata was traveling on Kickapoo Road.

The driver of the Sonata failed to yield while making a right turn at the intersection and was hit by the Expedition. Both streets had flashing traffic lights at the time of the crash.

The impact caused the Sonata to rotate several times before coming to a stop.

The Sonata driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. His front-seat passenger was taken to the hospital by an ambulance in an unknown condition.

The Expedition driver left the scene after the accident. A female passenger, who claims to be his wife, was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Two male back seat passengers in the Sonata were uninjured in the crash.

Authorities are still looking for the Expedition driver.

The crash remains under investigation.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
