One Killed in East Austin Pedestrian Accident on U.S. 183

Austin, Texas (April 26, 2022) – One person was killed Monday afternoon in a pedestrian accident in East Austin, according to officials.

The deadly accident happened just before 3:15 p.m., April 25, in the southbound lanes of the 1400 block of Ed Bluestein on U.S. 183.

Officials said a single-vehicle crash occurred and was followed by a secondary crash that involved another vehicle and a pedestrian.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

No other information was available.

An investigation is underway.
