One Killed in Salado Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35

Salado, Texas (August 26, 2021) – According to the authorities, one person was killed Wednesday afternoon in a rear-end collision in Salado.

The crash happened around 4:13 p.m., August 25, on Interstate 35 southbound at mile marker 283.

Authorities said a Ford F-150 crashed into the rear of a trailer in the outside emergency lane of the interstate.

The Ford driver was pinned in the wreckage and had to be extricated.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The crash closed the outside and middle lanes of the southbound I-35 for about four hours.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
