Amarillo, Texas – One person was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Amarillo, according to the Amarillo Police Department.

The fatal crash happened just before 7:00 a.m., April 24, in the area of East Amarillo Boulevard and Folsom Road.

Police said a tan Chevrolet pickup was traveling westbound on E. Amarillo Blvd while a semi-truck and trailer carrying a base to a wind turbine was traveling southbound on Folsom Road and was attempting to turn onto E. Amarillo Blvd.

The Chevy hit the side of the trailer.

The driver of the Chevy was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
