One Killed and Four Injured in North Austin Three-Vehicle Crash on Metric Boulevard

Austin, Texas (May 9, 2020) – One person was killed, and four others were injured Friday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in North Austin, according to police.

The deadly crash took place around 3:00 p.m. May 8, in the 12300 block of Metric Boulevard.

Police said a Staples delivery truck and another car were traveling southbound when the car bumped into the truck. The impact caused the car to cross the median into the northbound traffic and crash head-on into another vehicle.

The other two involved vehicles were a gold-colored SUV and a four-door sedan.

Five people in one of the vehicles were taken to the hospital with potentially critical injuries, where one of them later died.

The other two drivers were not seriously injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.
