One Killed and One Injured in Travis County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 71

Travis County, Texas (October 5, 2022) – One person was killed and another was injured on Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash in Travis County, according to officials.

The fatal crash happened on October 4, on State Highway 71, southeast of Spicewood.

Officials said two large trucks were involved in the crash.

An adult was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released. Another adult was airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed all lanes of SH 71 near Falls Creek Estates Drive and Paleface Ranch Road.

The crash remains under investigation.
