1 Seriously Injured in DUI Crash at Farm Road 455 and Farm Road 51 in Slidell
One Hospitalized after Slidell Crash at Farm Road 455 and Farm Road 51; Landon Langford Arrested
Slidell, Texas (August 4, 2022) – One person was seriously injured in an alleged DUI crash Saturday afternoon near Slidell, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The major injury collision occurred at about 3:45 Saturday, August 30, at the intersection of Farm Road 455 and Farm Road 51.
DPS said Landon Langford, 21, of Nocona, was driving a Ford F-150 pickup westbound on Farm Road 455 when he failed to yield the right of way to traffic traveling on FM 51 and collided with a Dodge pickup and a U-Haul vehicle.
Langford and his passenger were trapped in the wreckage and were extricated by firefighters. Langford assaulted an emergency responder and tried to flee the scene but was apprehended.
Langford was taken to Wise Health System in Decatur while his passenger was transported to Medical City Denton hospital in serious condition. The occupants of the other two vehicles involved were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Authorities said Langford may face charges of DUI and assault against an emergency responder. Alcohol was considered a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
