2 Killed in Fiery Crash on SH 95 in Williamson County

Two Killed in Williamson County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 95 near Coupland Drive

Williamson County, Texas (July 2, 2023) – Two people were killed Saturday afternoon in a fiery two-vehicle crash in Williamson County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 2:20 p.m., July 1, on State Highway 95, half a mile south of Coupland Drive.

DPS said a man was driving a Chevrolet pickup northbound on the highway while a woman was driving a Ford F-350 southbound.

For an unknown reason, the Chevrolet traveled onto the wrong side of the road and struck the Ford.

Both vehicles caught fire, and both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
