One Seriously Injured in SE Austin Hit-and-Run on FM 812 near JD’s Super Market

Austin, Texas (March 11, 2022) – One person was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a hit-and-run crash in southeast Austin, according to the Texas DPS.

The accident happened just after 7:15 p.m., March 9, in the 9200 block of Farm to Market Road 812, near the JD’s Super Market.

DPS said a person was hit by a black pick-up truck.

A witness and the suspect vehicle stopped to call 911, but then the driver of the truck left the scene heading eastbound on the highway.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.

The DPS is investigating the crash. Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to call DPS at 512-424-7391.
