2 Men Killed in Crash on I-35E in Red Oak

Motorcyclist and Driver Killed in Red Oak Crash on I-35E

Red Oak, Texas (July 27, 2019) – Two people were killed in a traffic accident Friday morning in Red Oak, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened at about 4:00 a.m. July 26, in the southbound lanes of the 100 block of North IH-35E.

According to a preliminary investigation, a vehicle and a motorcycle collided in the southbound lanes and the motorcyclist was ejected.

The driver of the vehicle got out to check on the motorcyclist and as he went into the traffic lanes, an 18-wheeler hit him and the motorcyclist.

The driver of the 18-wheeler stopped after the accident.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was taken to Medical City Hospital in Arlington where he later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
