Minor Injuries Reported in Houston Ambulance Crash on S. Beltway 8 at Bissonnet

Houston Texas (November 9, 2020) – Minor injuries were reported early Monday morning in a three-vehicle crash involving a Houston Fire Department ambulance in Houston, according to authorities.

The crash happened just before 4:00 a.m., at the intersection of the S. Beltway 8 and Bissonnet.

Police said the ambulance was responding to an emergency call with its lights and siren activated when it entered the intersection on a red light and collided with a Frito-Lay truck that had a green light.

The impact pushed the ambulance into oncoming traffic where it struck a sedan that was stopped at the red light.

Minor injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
