Rashee Rice and Theodore Knox Charged in Hit-and-Run on Central Expressway in Dallas

Dallas, Texas – Two people have been charged in connection to the hit-and-run crash that left four people injured last month in Dallas, according to the police.

The crash happened on March 30, on the Central Expressway near University Boulevard.

Police said NFL player and North Texas native Rashee Rice, 23, and 21-year-old Theodore Knox, were speeding along the highway in a Lamborghini SUV and a Corvette when they caused a chain reaction crash involving four other vehicles.

The occupants of the Lamborghini and the Corvette fled the scene after the accident.

Two of the involved drivers were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Two occupants of another vehicle were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Five days after the crash, Rice admitted that he was driving the Lamborghini.

Both Rice and Knox have been charged with one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving injury.

The passengers of the vehicles who left the scene will not be charged, according to the police.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
