Man Dies Days after 2-Vehicle Crash on South Loop West in Harris County

45-Year-Old Man Killed in Harris County Car Accident on South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West)
Harris County, Texas (January 24, 2019) – The man who was critically injured Saturday night in a traffic accident in Harris County has succumbed to his injuries, according to authorities.
The accident happened at about 9:10 p.m. Saturday, January 19 in the 1000 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West).
Authorities said the 45-year-old man was driving a gold Saturn L20 and was stopped in a moving lane of traffic westbound on South Loop West when his vehicle was rear-ended by a gray Toyota Tundra pickup truck.
The man was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries Monday, Jan. 21.
The Toyota driver was arrested. Alcohol or drugs were not factors in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
