12-Year-Old Boy Hit by Car on Palestine Street in Athens

12-Year-Old Boy Injured in Athens Pedestrian Accident on Palestine Street

Athens, Texas (May 6, 2022) – A 12-year-old boy was hit by a car on April 30 in Athens, according to the police.

The accident happened around 11:00 a.m., in the 200 block of S. Palestine Street.

Police said a 2021 model Ford SUV was traveling southbound in the outside lane of the street when the boy entered the roadway and was hit.

The boy was taken to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas with incapacitating injuries.

No injuries were reported in the SUV.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
