2 Injured in 3-Car Accident on State Highway 123 in Zorn

2 Drivers Hospitalized after Zorn Crash on State Highway 123
Zorn, Texas (April 12, 2019) – Two drivers were hospitalized late Wednesday morning after a traffic accident near Zorn, according to a local news report.
The crash was reported at around 11:17 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 in the 14200 block of State Highway 123, just north of Zorn and involved three vehicles.
The Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper said a white Ford Explorer had pulled into a driveway to make a U-turn while a UPS truck was traveling southbound on the outside of lane of Highway 123.
There was a grey Hyundai on the inside lane traveling southbound and when the Ford Explorer tried to drive onto State Highway 123, the UPS truck was blocking the Explorer’s view causing the sports utility vehicle to pull in front of the Hyundai and t-boning it.
The driver of the Explorer was taken to Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos and the Hyundai driver was taken to Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin. Their names and condition were not immediately disclosed.
The passengers in each vehicle were not injured in the crash but accompanied the drivers to the two different hospitals.
Authorities shut down the road for an hour as they worked to clear the scene.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
