50-Year-Old Man Killed in Van Alstyne Pedestrian Accident on US 75

Van Alstyne, Texas (January 8, 2021) – A 50-year-old man was fatally hit by a car Wednesday night in Van Alstyne, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 7:00 p.m., January 6, on US 75 near Exit 51.

Police said a car was traveling southbound on the highway when it broke down. The passengers exited the car and started walking up the service road and that’s when a car came over a hill and hit one of them.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
