Two Injured in Denton Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 380 (University Drive) at Nottingham Drive

Denton, Texas (January 2, 2021) – Two people were injured on New Years’ Day in a high-speed crash in Denton, according to police.

The crash occurred around 4:35 p.m., January 1, on Highway 380 (University Drive) at Nottingham Drive.

Police said a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed on the highway when it collided with another vehicle.

The impact ejected at least one person from a vehicle.

One person was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Another person was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash closed all lanes of Highway 380 (University Drive). The lanes were reopened around 9:00 p.m. 

The police are investigating the crash.
