47-Year-Old Woman Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59)
Houston, Texas (January 26, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was injured Friday night in a two-vehicle crash in Houston, according to police.
The fatal crash happened around 10:40 p.m., January 22, in the 4600 block of Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59).
According to police, witnesses said a blue Honda Civic was involved in a crash and was stopped in an unprotected median that separates the southbound freeway from the 610 West Loop exit ramp.
The Honda was then struck by a blue Jeep Liberty driven by a 47-year-old woman.
The Jeep driver, and the Honda, a 19-year-old woman, were taken to the hospital where the 47-year-old woman was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.
The police are investigating the crash.
