Driver Killed, Industrial Worker Injured in Crash on Magnet Street in Houston

1 Killed, 1 Injured in Houston Pedestrian Crash on Magnet Street

Houston, Texas (July 25, 2019) – One person was killed and another injured in a traffic accident involving an industrial worker on Wednesday afternoon in Houston, according to the police.

The incident took place in the 2700 block of Magnet Street on Wednesday, July 24.

Police said man was driving a truck eastbound on Magnet Street when he experienced a medical episode. The man lost control of the truck, drifted off the side and crashed into a fence in an industrial area. A pedestrian standing near the fence was also hit by the truck.

The pedestrian, who was working at the time of the accident, was transported to a hospital with traumatic leg injuries.

The driver of the involved truck was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.

Police are investigating the incident.
