4-Year-Old Girl Critically Injured in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Japonica Street

Houston, Texas (June 27, 2021) – A 4-year-old girl was critically injured Saturday night in a hit-and-run crash near southeast Houston, according to the police.

The accident happened just after 8:00 p.m., on June 26, in the 6700 block of Japonica Street.

Police said the girl was playing in the street during a gender reveal party when she was struck by a gray 4-door sedan.

The driver of the sedan, possibly a 2012 to 2016 model Chrysler, stopped for a moment before speeding away from the scene.

The girl was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.

The authorities are looking for the driver.

The police are investigating the crash.
