39-Year-Old Man Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Texas 73 in Baytown

39-Year-Old Man Killed in Baytown Pedestrian Accident on Texas 73 near Englin Road

Baytown, Texas (September 7, 2020) – A 39-year-old Baytown man was killed in a pedestrian accident Sunday evening in Baytown, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident occurred at about 8:20 p.m., September 6, on Texas 73 near Englin Road.

DPS said the man was driving eastbound when he veered off the roadway and crashed. He then exited his car and walked into the roadway, where he was hit by a pickup truck driven by a 31-year-old Beaumont man.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The pickup driver was uninjured in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
