Conshneka Williams Killed in Rusk County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 225

Rusk County, Texas (August 19, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was injured Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in Rusk County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m., August 15, on FM 225, four miles south of Henderson.

DPS said a 2016 Kia Forte was traveling southbound on the highway while a 2016 Kia Optima was traveling northbound.

The Forte then crossed the center stripe and crashed into the Optima.

The Optima driver, Conshneka Williams, 36, of Longview, was airlifted to UT Health East Texas in Tyler, where she later died.

The Forte driver, Shaun Cooper, 39, of Mount Enterprise, was airlifted to Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
