HPD Officer Injured in Houston Motorcycle Accident at Lamar and San Jacinto

Houston, Texas (April 30, 2020) – A HPD officer was injured Wednesday evening in a motorcycle accident in Houston, according to police.

The crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. April 29, at the intersection of Lamar and San Jacinto.

Police said a driver ran a red light at the intersection and struck the officer who was riding a motorcycle.

The officer was able to walk to a nearby hospital with injuries to his shoulders.

The crash remains under investigation.
