2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Capital of Texas Highway in Austin

Two Injured in Austin Multi-Vehicle Crash on Capital of Texas Highway near South Lamar Boulevard

Austin, Texas (June 15, 2023) – Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash in south Austin, according to officials.

The crash happened around 12:50 p.m., June 14, near the 4200 block of the Capital of Texas Highway frontage road near South Lamar Boulevard.

Officials said multiple vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles turned on its side after the crash.

Two people were trapped and had to be extricated.

A teen was taken to the hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. An adult was taken to the hospital with potentially serious injuries. Another adult refused transport.

The crash remains under investigation.
