Two Injured in San Angelo Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 67

San Angelo, Texas (June 28, 2022) – Two people were injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in San Angelo, according to the police.

The crash happened in the 3600 block of the frontage road of U.S. Highway 67.

Police said a white Chevrolet pickup truck tried to turn right on the frontage road when the driver realized there was no way to make a right turn at that location. The driver then tried to turn left from the right lane and turned in front of an oncoming Dodge pickup truck with a cattle trailer, resulting in a collision.

Both drivers sustained non-incapacitating injuries. The Dodge driver was taken to the hospital for treatment, while the Chevrolet driver was treated and released at the scene.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
