Two Killed and Two Injured in Harris County Two-Vehicle Crash on Beaumont Highway

Harris County, Texas (June 28, 2021) – Two people were killed and two others were injured Sunday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Harris County, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 5:30 p.m., June 27, in the 15706 block of Beaumont Highway.

Deputies said a car was traveling eastbound on the highway when it lost control, spun into the oncoming traffic lanes, and was hit by a red pickup truck.

The man and woman in the car were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The pickup driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.

A passenger in the pickup was treated at the scene.

Deputies later determined that the pickup truck driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash. The authorities don’t believe that the pickup driver was at fault for causing the crash, but will still be charged with DWI.

The crash remains under investigation.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statutes which were violated.
