Arlington, Texas (March 1, 2023) – A 75-year-old woman was killed in a Tuesday night traffic accident in Arlington, according to Arlington police.

The deadly accident happened at around 9:09 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, on the Interstate 20 and Texas 360 interchange.

According to Witnesses, the 75-year-old woman was driving a 2008 Saturn Vue in the left lane and took the exit ramp to the connector. She then drove across the bridge and made an unsafe lane change before hitting the front end of a 2012 Honda Accord that was traveling in the right lane.

The 75-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed.

The driver of the Accord, who was not injured, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A.
