2 Killed in 3-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20 in Harrison County

Two People Killed in Harrison County 3-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Harrison County, Texas (March 12, 2020) – Two people were killed in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Harrison County, one mile east of Hallsville, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash occurred at about 3:10 p.m. on March 11, on eastbound Interstate 20.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 2013 Ford F-250 was traveling eastbound when it rear-ended an eastbound 2011 Nissan Altima. The impact caused the Altima to hit a trailer that was being towed by a 2017 Freightliner truck.

The driver and passenger in the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ford driver was taken to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center – Longview with unknown injuries.

The driver of the Freightliner was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
