Eugenio Cruz Killed in Abilene Motorcycle Crash at South First Street and Grape Street

Abilene, Texas (October 16, 2023) – A man was killed Saturday evening in a motorcycle crash in Abilene, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 8:37 p.m., October 14, at the intersection of South First and Grape Streets.

Police said a 2012 Jeep Liberty was traveling eastbound on South First and was turning northbound onto Grape Street. As it entered the intersection, a white Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, which was traveling westbound on South First, also entered the intersection and collided with the Jeep.

The motorcyclist, Eugenio Cruz, 28, of Abilene, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol did not appear to have been a factor in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
