Two Killed in Fort Worth Crash on Interstate 30

Fort Worth, Texas (January 7, 2023) – Two people were killed early Saturday morning in a crash in Fort Worth, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:26 a.m., in the westbound lanes of the West Freeway and Alta Mere Drive.

Police said a black sedan had been stopped in either the westbound lanes or the right shoulder of the West Freeway when it was struck by a motorcycle ridden by a man.

The man was ejected from the motorcycle.

A woman, who was standing outside the sedan, was struck by the motorcycle and the sedan.

The man and the woman were then struck by passing vehicles and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The Traffic Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
