2 Killed in Head-on Crash on Synott Road in Alief

Alief, Texas – Two people were killed Monday night in a head-on collision in Alief, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 9:30 p.m., April 22, on Synott Road near Clarewood Drive.

According to the police, witnesses said they saw a Dodge pickup truck, which was traveling at a high rate of speed and was weaving in and out of traffic. The driver tried to swerve around a car but crashed into a Nissan Altima, which then struck a pole.

The Dodge went into the wrong lane and crashed head-on into a Chevy Malibu.

The Dodge driver and the driver of the Malibu were killed in the crash. The identities of the victims have not been released.

The Nissan driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
