2 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on R.L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas

Two Killed in Dallas Three-Vehicle Crash on R.L. Thornton Freeway near Camp Wisdom Road

Houston, Texas – Two people were killed and a woman was injured early Tuesday morning in a wrong-way crash in Dallas, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 1:35 a.m., January 9, on R.L. Thornton Freeway near Camp Wisdom Road.

Police said a pickup truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway when it crashed into a northbound car.

The car then crashed into a northbound flatbed truck.

The car driver and the truck driver were both pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of the victims have not been released.

A female passenger in the car was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive.

The flatbed driver was uninjured in the crash.

The Dallas police are investigating the crash.
