25-Year-Old Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run on Commerce in San Antonio

25-Year-Old Woman Injured in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident at Hoefgen Avenue and Commerce Street

San Antonio, Texas (December 4, 2022) – A 25-year-old woman was injured early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident in San Antonio, according to the police.

The accident happened around 2:00 a.m., December 3, at the intersection of Hoefgen Avenue and E Commerce Street.

Police said a white Toyota Corolla ran a red light and struck the woman who was crossing the westbound lanes of E. Commerce in a marked crosswalk with a white walk signal.

The woman was knocked down and ended up underneath the front bumper of the car.

The woman was pulled out from underneath the car, and the driver stopped to check on her.

The driver provided his name and then fled the scene.

The woman was taken to a local hospital by a friend in stable condition.

When found, the Corolla driver will be charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid- Moving.

The police are investigating the crash.
