Three Injured After Car Crashes into San Angelo Dollar Tree on 29th Street

San Angelo, Texas (August 22, 2021) – According to the police, three people were injured Friday morning after a car crashed into Dollar Tree in San Angelo.

The accident happened on August 20, on 29th Street.

Police said an elderly person was driving a silver Dodge Caliber when they stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brakes and drove onto the sidewalk in front of the Metro by the T-Mobile store.

The Caliber then struck a Metro employee who was standing on the sidewalk and the building. It then veered right on the sidewalk and struck a pole, and parked a white Dodge Caravan.

The Caliber pushed Caravan forward, and it struck the driver who was loading items into the back of the vehicle.

The Caliber driver and the Metro employee were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Caravan driver also sustained injuries in the crash.

An investigation is underway.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
