3 Injured in Motorcycle Crash on I-27 in Central Lubbock

Three Injured in Central Lubbock Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 27

Lubbock, Texas (June 22, 2021) – Three people were injured early Monday morning in a motorcycle crash in Central Lubbock, according to the police.

The crash was reported just after 12:00 p.m., June 21, in the 1700 block of Interstate 27.

Police said a motorcyclist lost control on the interstate and crashed, causing two other vehicles to also crash.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Two people in the other vehicles sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The crash closed the southbound lanes of Interstate 27, between the Marsha Sharp Freeway and 19th Street.

The crash remains under investigation.
