Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Vehicle on North Eldridge Parkway in Houston

One Person Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on North Eldridge Parkway at North Dairy Ashford

Houston, Texas (August 17, 2022) – A male pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The deadly pedestrian crash happened at around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, August 16 in the 1098 block of North Eldridge Parkway.

Police said the pedestrian was crossing the roadway when he was struck by a Honda Accord that was heading southbound on North Eldridge Parkway and had the green light at the intersection of North Dairy Ashford.

The pedestrian was taken to Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the Honda stopped at the scene and was not intoxicated.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
