3 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 14 in Killeen

Three People Killed in Killeen Crash on Interstate 14 near Fort Hood

Killeen, Texas (July 17, 2022) – Three people were killed in a fiery wrong-way crash in Killeen early Saturday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash happened at about 2:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16 on Interstate 14 near Fort Hood’s main gate.

DPS said a vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane of Interstate 14 when it collided head-on with another vehicle carrying three people. The wrong way driver’s car caught on fire upon the impact.

The three occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. The names of the victims have not been released pending notification of thier respective families.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
