4 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Aquarena Springs and Charles Austin Drives in San Marcos

Four Injured, Two Hospitalized after San Marcos Crash at Aquarena Springs Drive and Charles Austin Drive         

San Marcos, Texas (May 3, 2022) – Four people were injured and two were hospitalized following a traffic collision near the Texas State University campus on Friday in San Marcos, according to authorities.

The crash occurred at about 4:45 p.m. Friday, April 29, at the intersection of Aquarena Springs Drive and Charles Austin Drive.

Authorities said a Texas State bus and several cars were involved in the collision. The bus reportedly caught fire upon the impact.

Two people in one of the vehicles were transported to Seton Hays Hospital in Kyle with severe injuries. Their names and current condition were not available.

People in two other vehicles had minor injuries. None of the occupants on the bus was hurt.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
