One Killed in Williamson County Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 971 and North Town Mills Road

Williamson County, Texas (September 21, 2020) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Northeast Williamson County, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened at about 12:50 p.m., September 20, in the area of FM 971 and North Town Mills Road, just a quarter-mile west of Weir.

Authorities said a 2020 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on FM 971 and was entering a curve while a 2013 Cadillac Escalade was traveling eastbound.

The Honda veered into the eastbound lanes and crashed head-on into the Escalade.

The Honda driver was taken to a Williamson County hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

The crash closed both directions of FM 971 for about two hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
