Darisa Hernandez ID’d as Woman Killed in Johnson County Crash at Texas 171 and County Road 310A

Johnson County, Texas (September 22, 2022) – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Bureau has identified the woman who died following a Wednesday morning car collision south of Cleburne in Johnson County as Darisa Hernandez, 23, of Cleburne.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash happened around 10:00 a.m., September 21, at the intersection of State Highway 171 and County Road 310A.

DPS said Hernandez failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and collided with another vehicle.

Hernandez and a 5-month-old baby in the car were pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt, but the child was in a child’s safety seat.

A 55-year-old woman also in the car was taken to a Fort Worth hospital with incapacitating injuries. A 2-year-old child was taken to Cook Children’s Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle and his passenger sustained non-incapacitating injuries and were released at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
