Four Injured in West El Paso Two-Vehicle Crash on Artcraft Road and Desert Boulevard

El Paso, Texas (August 10, 2023) – Four people were injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in West El Paso, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened around 11:55 p.m., August 8, at the intersection of Artcraft Road and S. Desert Boulevard.

DPS said a Texas DPS Trooper attempted to make a traffic stop at the intersection regarding a white Dodge Ram for several traffic violations. The trooper activated his emergency lights and siren to initiate the traffic stop, but the driver fled, disregarded the red light, and struck the right side of a black Honda Accord.

Both vehicles then struck a traffic control signal device.

The driver tried to flee the scene but was taken into custody and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Two migrants, a male, and a female, were inside the Dodge and were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Honda driver was also taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
