42-Year-Old Man Killed in San Antonio Scooter Crash on West Commerce Street

San Antonio, Texas – A 42-year-old man was killed Friday night in a scooter crash in San Antonio’s West Side, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened just before 9:30 p.m., February 9, in the 9500 block of West Commerce Street.

Authorities said the man was riding a scooter going with traffic when it was struck by a yellow truck that was traveling in the same direction. The scooter did not have adequate lighting and the scooter driver was wearing dark clothing on the dimly-lit street when he was hit.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver of the truck was uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
