45-Year-Old Woman Killed in Jeep Crash at Timbergate Drive and Staples Street in Corpus Christi

Woman Killed in Corpus Christi Two-Vehicle Crash at Timbergate Drive and Staples Street

Corpus Christi, Texas (September 30, 2019) – A 45-year-old woman was killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash at a Corpus Christi intersection, according to a local news source.

The collision took place just after 9:00 p.m. September 29, at the intersection of Timbergate Drive and Staples Street.

Police said the woman was driving a Jeep northbound on Staples Street when she hit a vehicle that was attempting to turn onto Timbergate Drive from Staples Street.

The woman was declared dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Two people in the other car were taken to hospital for treatment. One of the victims was taken by ambulance while the other was taken by family members.

The southbound lanes of Staples Street near Timbergate Drive were closed following the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
