48-Year-Old Man Killed in South-Central El Paso Pedestrian Accident on Delta Drive at Tobin Place

El Paso, Texas (June 24, 2020) – A 48-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident early Tuesday morning in south-central El Paso, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 3:30 a.m. June 23, at Delta Drive and Tobin Place.

Police said the man was crossing Delta Drive, outside of a marked crosswalk, when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Roberto Chavez-Carranza, 18. Carranza didn’t see the man until it was too late.

The man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

No other details regarding the crash were available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
