Five Seriously Injured in Lubbock 18-Wheeler Crash at Interstate 27 and Marsha Sharp

Lubbock, Texas (July 2, 2020) – According to a local news source, five people were seriously injured Wednesday night in a rear-end collision in Lubbock.

The crash was reported shortly before midnight, July 1, on the westbound access road of the Marsha Sharp Freeway at Interstate 27.

According to the report, a vehicle crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler on the freeway.

Five people in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash closed the westbound I-27 exit from Marsha Sharp Freeway.

No further details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
