2 Seriously Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway Flyover in West Lubbock

Two Seriously Injured in West Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway Flyover at West Loop 289

Lubbock, Texas (June 4, 2020) – Two people were seriously injured early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in West Lubbock, a local news source reported.

The crash occurred around 8:08 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Marsha Sharp Freeway over West Loop 289 near Slide Road.

Police said a vehicle was heading westbound in the eastbound lanes of the freeway when it crashed into another vehicle.

Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash closed all eastbound lanes of traffic, and traffic was diverted off at the West Loop exit.

The crash remains under investigation.
