One Killed in Crash Involving Tow Truck on Beltway 8 in Houston

One Killed in North Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Beltway 8 near John F. Kennedy Boulevard

Houston, Texas (August 12, 2020) – A driver was killed early Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving a tow truck in north Houston, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened around 2:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Beltway 8 near John F. Kennedy Boulevard.

Authorities said an SUV struck a heavy-duty tow truck, for unknown reasons, on the beltway.

The SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
